And I love how you are so open about the struggles and ups/downs of the job. You are a wonderful teacher--your students are lucky to have you!

Also, love the part about wanting to channel the students' energy rather than fight against it...I think I'll try that philosophy in parenting as well :)The Mees Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02752543898382248776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573741739638604674.post-47734901169530982892011-09-16T15:31:13.640-07:002011-09-16T15:31:13.640-07:00jessie, the tree of life is so great! i am so happ...jessie, the tree of life is so great! i am so happy that you are continuing to post here... i feel like i am talking to you in person :) love it! miss you, sweet friend!nataliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12211715108524071235noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573741739638604674.post-26839557707831789312011-09-06T19:51:58.243-07:002011-09-06T19:51:58.243-07:00smartest idea ever! seriously. i'm totally g...smartest idea ever! seriously. i'm totally going to do that!

thanks for following along with me, steve!jessiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00591094782779221176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2573741739638604674.post-48767665910882098402011-09-06T05:49:45.836-07:002011-09-06T05:49:45.836-07:00Regarding overloading the tree of life, maybe you ...Regarding overloading the tree of life, maybe you could have the tree change with the seasons... They can take home some of their leaves/tree-stuff when the fall stumbles in, and make fall-relevant material; winter dumps on you, and they can make frosty, snow-clad art, etc.

That way they can show off their stuff to their parents (or just let go), and keep the tree fresh when it's getting overloaded.

It will henceforth be named the "Tree of Life and Seasons"... ;).Stevenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07406741072552871898noreply@blogger.com
